Welcome to the first day of Knitting & Crochet Blog Week! I am so excited to be joining in on the fun for the third year in a row. To kickoff the week, we were asked to describe our crafting style by choosing from among
four Houses.
I bet it isn't hard to guess which House I picked :) Yes, I am most certainly proud to be a Peacock! Colorful yarn, pretty embellishments and cute buttons are my passion and joy. Even when I try to exercise restraint and knit a classic grey something or other, my natural peacock tendencies always win in the end.
I am happiest when knitting with colors that stand out from the crowd.
And buttons! Don't get me started on those!

Amazing - I have read through so many postings and just as I said to myself I would love to see a Peacock posting, yours came up on the very next blog I read. I saw the Peacock in the hexagons before I got to the part where you said that you were indeed a peacock. It suits you and your stunning projects perfectly! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't think I was a Peacock, firmly in the Bee house I decided, but if you looked in my button box it would be obvious! LOL. But I don't" embellish" my knitting, so I think I will stay in the Bee house.
ReplyDeleteI love to read a Peacock posting. And yes, you're definitly one of them!
ReplyDeleteYour projects are all gorgeous! I love all your special details:)
ReplyDeleteyaay - at last, a Peacock ! Who knew they were so rare ? LOL I do like buttons, but I drew the line the other day: I needed 5 buttons for a project, and they would have cost more than all the yarn I used for the project ....
ReplyDeleteooh yay you're the first peacock I've come across - colour is fabulous (I was torn but chose Monkey) and so are buttons...... mmm!!! I love all of your FO, they are all really beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteYou're the first Peacock I have come across and I love the projects you chose to point out your flair! I love all the little details you add.
ReplyDeletefabulous color!!
ReplyDeleteyou are the the 1st peacock I've read today and I love the way you add color. you are not afraid of it.
I am afraid and you will find me in blue, brown or gray. but maybe I will take your lead and add just a stripe or too of sizzling color!!
YAY, I am so glad I found you. Have been looking for a peacock. I so want to be one :)
ReplyDeleteWow!! you are one of the few who are in the house of peacock! So cool! And you definitely are a peacock-- so many brightly colored projects!
ReplyDeleteHurray, I've finally found a Peacock post! You've certainly got an eye for color. This is my first visit to your blog, but I'll definitely be back (and of course I need to look around some more!) to see the rest of your posts this week!
ReplyDeleteWheeeee, you're my first Manatee! You get a prize! It's a high five: HIGH FIVE! I found you during last year's KCBW, so I'll be back tomorrow! Exclamation points!!
ReplyDeleteI got all dizzy with the exclamation and typed "Manatee" when I clearly meant "Peacock" -- I have pills for it, don't worry. :)
DeleteI'm so happy to see that you are also participating as this year is my first time taking part! I've elected to be a bee, but I can clearly see why you chose peacock. My first instinct was peacock too, but only because I love bright colors. On the other hand I rarely embellish. I think you're a perfect fit for the genre!
ReplyDeleteYou are most definitely a peacock. I always look forward to to seeing what you've done with your gorgeous knits to make them even more special. I couldn't get it together for Blog Week this year but I think I am most certainly a Monkey ; )
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful photographs of beautiful projects. I think you are the first peacock I've come across so far :)
