Finally got around to blocking my textured shawl. This was a fun and quick pattern. The textured stitch is so cool to knit and I love the finished results.
I only wish it was done a little sooner since it is too warm to wear a wool/alpaca shawl now. This always happens. I need to plan out my knitting better, maybe knit a season ahead (or try to knit faster)(or have less WIP's)(or actually finish those UFO's left over from last spring/summer)(or pray to the knitting goddesses for wisdom). But all that's for later. Right now, I am going to turn up the air conditioner, make myself a cup of hot cocoa and settle into my warm textured shawl while I scope out the summer Knitscene. Have a fun weekend and make sure to check out these great blogs participating in FO Friday with TAMI'S AMIS.
Your shawl is beautiful! Maybe you'll get a chilly day to wear it.
ReplyDeleteIt came out beautiful. I think the color goes really well with the stitch pattern. You are not alone ... I finished a heavy wool sweater in June one year, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you. I don't plan my knits seasonally either. At least you know it is waiting for you when the weather turns.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya on wanting to wear your new knit stuff. I am dying to wear my scarf more than an hour but it's going to be 80 degrees here this weekend. The shawl turned out amazing.
ReplyDeleteseems like I could easily just do up warm knits year round and be a happy camper.
ReplyDeleteIt's really satisfying though to have a nice newly made garment in your cupboard when the right weather hits. Lucky you having the new KnitScene I can't seem to find anywhere to buy a copy in the UK.
ReplyDeleteYour shawl looks so lovely. The bright side of not being able to wear it is the lovely weather you get to enjoy. We had 10cm of snow here yesterday : (
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful shawl! Grey is my favorite color so I'm particularly smitten. =)
ReplyDeletethat is beautiful! great work!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I have been thinking about making a shawl in a neutral color to keep in the car for overly air conditioned restaurants this summer.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Come visit Colorado -- we're good for at least a few more wool/alpaca days this spring! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
