And here is the beautiful winter wonderland that greeted me when I finally made it home:
our resident bunnies were having fun in the backyard |
Norm the Penguin is finally in his element |
I hope that those of you who were in the path of Jonas made it through safely. We were lucky to not have any major damage from the storm. Just sore backs and arms from all of the digging out that had to be done. Now to cozy up with some hot cocoa and knitting. I think I'll be boycotting junk food for a while though!
We didn't get much, but they still cancelled school! Oh well, better sage than sorry.
ReplyDeleteWow! Not a good time to be trying to get anywhere. I'm glad you made it home safely if delayed.
ReplyDeleteWow. What a snowfall in your area. It's so different here for us west coasters when we get extreme rainfall. School is not cancelled unless there is a blackout and that hardly ever happens.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Too bad you were exiled for a while but glad you had your knitting with you. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that's a lot of snow. I do love how those socks turned out. you're really selling that pattern lady! I love the accent colors on the cuff. Try not to beat yourself up about the junkfood as it sounds you probably worked it off with all that snow shoveling!
ReplyDeleteglad you are all safely together again....sometimes, though, those guiltless opportunities are gifts in disguise....knitting with no reason to worry about making meals or shoveling the white stuff!!! You obviously took advantage!! ANd the socks sort of look 'winter wonderland-ish'! Good job!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe now! The snow looks beautiful - so pristine! I love how you took advantage of your "getaway" time and managed to have some knitting done!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are safe. I can totally understand how much of a pain a storm like that can be, but it sure makes a pretty picture.
