I saw a version of
this hat knitted up on the
French Press Knits blog and immediately wanted to cast on. It has been a while since I knitted anything with cables so this pattern was a fun and quick way to get in some practice. The hat will be donated to
a great cause.
With a little bit of flattery, I convinced my husband to model for me. Excuse the dark pictures since they were taken in the man-cave which has zero natural light (bad for TV viewing and video game playing, so I am told). After a couple of dozen attempts consisting of goofy male model poses, I was finally able to capture a few decent pictures.
Doesn't he look thrilled to be wearing a hand knit? Hope this doesn't make him remember the socks that I had promised to knit him a while back and never got around to starting.
Lots of great projects can be found on
FO Friday with TAMI'S AMIS. Go check them out!
love cabled hats--and this one looks like it was a fun knit. I might have to add it to the queue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good sport of a model you have--I rarely can get beyond the goofy man-pictures when my hubby poses in knits for me!
Love the hat (and the pictures!), and it is a great cause that you're sending it to :)
ReplyDeleteThe hat is wonderful! I bet it will be greatly loved.
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks great! Tell your husband his modeling "made" the hat. Maybe that will keep him modeling your handknits for us!
ReplyDeleteAwesome hat! And kudos to your hubby for being such a good sport. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely hat, I love the cables!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat and what a sport your hubby is!!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat, love the cables!
ReplyDeleteLove the hat and yay for husbands that are willing to model - I find it hard enough to get the kids to model for me, and my husband would be more likely to let me cut his leg off with a rusty saw! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend
x
I really like the hat. I just learned to do cables and enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job (as always!).
ReplyDeletethe hat looks great! it's so nice of you to be donating it =D
