Ribbed lace bolero |
Turmeric |
Why yes, that is indeed two previously unfinished objects off the needles (though yet to be blocked and modeled). I don't know how this sudden desire to finish things has come about, but I am gladly riding the wave until its inevitable end. My WIP list is now half of what it was in January and may possibly soon be at an all time low of three. Right now, I am working on the second sleeve of the Grapevine pullover that was started last June.
I cannot remember why this was set aside because it is really a great pattern. The yarn (Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy) is very enjoyable to knit with if you like the cool, crisp feeling of linen. The resulting fabric is terrific for spring/summer, besides being nearly indestructible. I am also still plugging away on the never ending garter stitch project which is Stripe Study. Note to self: next project will NOT be a shawl, will NOT have stripes and will NOT consist of garter stitch. Yeah right.
For a variety of interesting projects and blogs, head on over to WIP Wednesday with TAMI'S AMIS. Hope everyone is enjoying a crafty, fun filled week!
Oh I love Turmeric! The yarn is a gorgeous colour.
ReplyDeleteWow, look at you go! I wish I had finishing momentum right now, but all I want to do is start new projects! I love how your Grapevine is coming along. The color is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely projects there, I bet they will get lots of use.
ReplyDeleteHooray for conquering some WIPs! I really like the color of your Turmeric.
ReplyDeleteI am also having shawl burnout right now and would love to cast on ANYTHING else, but am trying to power through.
I can't imagine why that was set aside, its beautiful!!! Congrats on the finishes, great work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome projects! Love that shrug, looks fast and easy?
ReplyDeleteWow, those look great! I can't wait to see them modeled :D
ReplyDeleteI sure wish I had your finishing urge, I seem to be in the opposite mode, but i know it comes and goes in phases. I hope you will model your projects for us when they are blocked. That bolero has interesting construction, and your turmeric looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt's like a knitting form of spring cleaning!
ReplyDeleteYour bolero looks really cool. I'm very jealous of the semisolid colour of your Tumeric. So. Very. Jealous.
Ride that wave! You have added some beautiful things to your summer wardrobe. Oh, the blue colors ... I am trying not to be jealous.
