Day Five: Something a Bit Different

The ability to embellish any swatch of stockinette that dares cross your path is a necessary skill for any aspiring Peacock. Here is a video of a quick hexipuff transformation which illustrates how easy this is.

  2. I really don't like hexipuffs.....but honestly, every time I see one of your embellished ones, I want to pull the bag out and make another. At this rate, I'll have an afghan in spite of myself!!!! You do beautiful work!

  6. That;s a very cute hexipuff and awesome tutorial. you make it look easy peasy. I've never knit a hexipuff before but seeing your lovely beaded butterfly makes me itch to cast on. Now I'm being a bee, lured by the promise of something new and shiny! Dang it!

  8. Wow, now I want to embroider something! But what do you do with the ends dangling out the back?

    1. I didn't show it on the video because that is the boring part :) but I tuck the ends in as neatly as possible. The stuffing helps to keep them from getting loose. Most of the time, I embroider/decorate before stuffing the puff. That way I can weave or tie the ends from the inside before I bind off.
